We asked Adam to share with us his basic points for an office interior design project. This told us: The first impression: Well they say that the first impression is never forgotten, and less when we enter a space. We have to pay close attention to our lobby. Always keep it clean, free of unnecessary elements, but above all take care that the logo of your company is present; In addition, a well-placed bench and plant will give a sense of harmony and welcome. Subtle and warm atmosphere: There is nothing more comforting than feeling that your work space is an extension of your home. Every peso you invest in creating a comfortable and warm office will be translated into profits and productivity. Hierarchize your spaces: Always take into account which are the places where you will receive more people: your lobby, boardroom, your private office and ... the bathroom. Surely it has happened to you that you arrive at a well-mounted place and when you get to the bathroom all the magic vanishes. Take care of your domain: In your office, your field of vision should always be directed towards the access door or as close as possible to it; that will give you control over all the matters of your company. Never place your desk with your back to the access door because you lose all your power. Adequate lighting: In offices, to promote quality work you should use powerful, cold and constant lighting; but this light is not comfortable or warm, so you will have to look for a balance by using warm colors on the walls or combining both qualities of light, for example: you can use warm lighting only in the spaces where you receive guests and place cold lighting in other areas. Debug: Some offices in order reflect a healthy company. To keep everything tidy, at least once a year purify, give or recycle papers, documents, furniture, etc., to allow new items to arrive at your office. Color: It is advisable to use light colors, but if you want to be daring you can use dark tones, as long as you make sure you have good natural lighting. If you have decided to opt for more daring colors, feel free to do so, just avoid saturating the environment because you can cause discomfort or friction in your people. Spaces of rest: If you have opportunity, allocate an interior or exterior space that is totally relaxed and warm, where people can smoke, eat or simply rest. And the sandwich: Equally give your employees the opportunity to eat in dignified, fun places and in those who sit outside the work area. In general, the spaces used for employee dining rooms look more like a surgery room than a dining room, so better imitate your favorite restaurant, use plants, woods and natural and fresh touches to promote a mental break.
